Portraits, stories and community tributes

Steel Memorial Bench Projects

These are completed Eternal Benches commissions documented with original workshop or installation photographs. Each case study explains the brief and visible design decisions without adding private family information that was not approved for publication.

Documented bench projects

Portrait-led memorial benches

A carefully selected photograph can become a recognisable laser-cut portrait. The design proof allows the family to review facial features, composition and wording before fabrication begins.

Family and shared-story designs

Several people, a meaningful landscape and a short family message can be combined in one back panel. The artwork is simplified deliberately so the finished steel remains clear and readable at normal viewing distance.

Community and remembrance projects

Benches commissioned by clubs, workplaces and communities can record shared service, local history or a person who made a difference. Public projects also require early discussion with the landowner about approval, location and fixing.

Publishing projects responsibly

We only publish names, locations and personal details that are already public or approved for publication. Project pages focus on the brief, design decisions, fabrication and installation without exposing information a family wants to keep private.

Commissioning something personal?

Tell us what should be remembered and where the bench may be installed. We will explain the design process and the information needed for an accurate quotation.
