Joan Feetham Portrait Memorial Bench
This commission was created in memory of Joan Feetham. A family photograph was converted into a recognisable line-art portrait and incorporated into a steel bench with her name, dates and a personal family message.
The family brief
Craig was asked to make a bench in memory of the customer's mother. The emotional priority was a portrait that felt true to the photograph rather than a generic memorial motif.
From photograph to laser-cut portrait
The portrait was simplified into clear areas that could be cut and read at normal viewing distance. It sits beside the inscription instead of being reduced to a small plaque, making Joan's likeness the main visual element of the back panel.
The completed design uses a black powder-coated bench with contrasting light portrait and lettering. The installation photograph shows the bench securely positioned on a paved base in a private garden beside water and planting.

The completed composition keeps Joan's portrait, name, dates and family inscription readable as one coherent memorial. The project is shown here through the finished bench and its documented design choices, without borrowing ratings from another business profile.
