Can a photograph be used?

Yes. A clear photograph can be converted into carefully simplified line art suitable for laser cutting. We look for recognisable features, good contrast and an angle that feels natural. If the first photograph is not suitable, we will explain why and help you select another.

You see the artwork as part of the full bench proof before anything is cut. Nothing moves into production until the design has been approved.

Ideas that make a design personal

• Service, regimental or community symbols where authorised
• Handwriting, a familiar saying or a short inscription

How the design process works

First we listen. Craig then develops the main visual elements and lays them out around the proportions of the bench. You receive a digital proof, discuss any changes and approve the finished composition. The approved artwork becomes the cutting file used in fabrication.

This collaborative stage is included in the quotation. It is deliberately unhurried because accuracy and emotional recognition matter more than producing a generic design quickly.

Respecting photographs and personal information

Please only supply photographs and emblems you have permission to use. We treat family photographs with care and use them for the agreed design process. If you are arranging a bench for a public place, the final artwork may also need approval from the landowner.
